Part Time ATV / Marine Mechanic


Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the owner this position is responsible for the day to day operations of the shop. This is a hands-on mechanic role responsible for the repair and maintenance of marine and dirt equipment (ATVs, UTVs, etc). In addition, this position supervises Marine technicians and ATV technicians.
Responsibilities:
Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs equipment (ATVs, UTVs, jet skis, boats, etc.)
Performs inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment.
Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs.
Track all vehicle / equipment maintenance and file all related paperwork appropriately.
Maintain a log of any vehicle or equipment that is unable to be used due to needed repairs or maintenance.
Ensures vehicles are maintained and/or repaired - working extra hours if necessary.
Follows written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers' service specifications.
Has working knowledge of paint and body work.
Follows safety practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
High School diploma / GED
2 years experience (2 years in a supervisor role)
Experience working on Honda equipment (Marine and Dirt)
Experience working on Kawasaki UTVs
Experience loading and unloading heavy equipment a plus

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.

WORK CONTEXT:
Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
Work may be performed in outdoor weather conditions where temperatures can exceed one hundred degrees.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
